Nan Goldin - In My Life (excerpt, ART/new york no. 47)

Just A quick post!
I'm doing research on Nan Goldin for an academic essay I have to hand up for my research and writing class.
I'm getting really into Goldin's work at the minute.
I think its the drag influence and the sexual fluidity of her subjects.
It fits the projects that I have under taken in the past.

So I recently finished a photo project with the title possesions...

The following images are my final pick of them.

It took me a long time to decided ont he subjects and playing around with the

word possesions took forever but i final decided on the idea and just went with it

I had alot of fun with this project and i felt ablle to express myself and get my personal ideas across much more than any other time in my classes.

I'm going to follow up the images with my typed up propsal and evaluation.

Any comments welcome good, bad, indifferent...

This is the first quote from the Nan Goldin book " I'll be your mirror" curated by Elisabeth Sussman and David Armstrong; I think trying o convey Godlins love of Lou Reed poetry and The Velvet Undergrounds music.

I've decided o read this book very slowly and soak up everything in it, already I'm finding it extremely difficult to put it down, as it is very well presented and writen!!!
